Create a private education as unique as your family
For over 20 years Greenhouse Christian Co-School has utilized a unique model in the world of education so unique that a new word was coined – co-school. The definition of co-school℠ is an educational institution which partners with homeschooling families to provide group instruction in specific curricula utilizing a professional faculty.
Grammar and Logic Core Program Overview
Greenhouse Christian Co-School's Grammar and Logic level program provides a basic structure while giving you the flexibility to create the homeschool environment that works for your family.
Your child will attend in person classes one day a week. We use time-tested syllabi that we developed that reflects our Christian values and beliefs, and works for a broad spectrum of homeschool families.
Our staff teachers get home schooling and are a valuable partner, giving you confidence that you are equipping your children during these foundational years.
Greenhouse was created so that you don’t have to go it alone.
Grammar and Logic students in the core program receive four courses
History & Literature
Art
Science
Performing Arts
Each year all of our Grammar and Logic students study the same time period, but each level focuses on different aspects and develops different intellectual skills.
The four time periods
Antiquities - Creation to AD 476
Medieval/Renaissance - 400-1650
Reformation/Early Modern - 1500-1815
Modern/Contemporary - 1800 to present
If Grammar and Logic families prepare their students to attend the classes in Art, Performing Arts, and Science, the students will receive a solid education in those areas. We recommend families supplement History and Literature with additional readings and projects. The core program does not offer math and language arts (grammar, composition, spelling).
Grammar (grades 1-4)
In the Grammar stage, capitalizing on students' incredible capacity to memorize, teachers focus on developing a mastery of the basics and fundamental rules for each subject. Students should expect 2-4 hours of homework per week. We recommend that families supplement History and Literature with additional readings and projects. The core program does not offer math and language arts.

Students ask investigative questions related to the subject and use logic/reasoning to derive meaning and draw conclusions. Students should expect 4-8 hours of homework per week. We recommend that families supplement History and Literature with additional readings and projects. The core program does not offer math and language arts.
