Strengthen your homeschool and apply to Greenhouse for in-person learning one day a week
Serving grades 1 through 12, our core program provides in-person learning one day a week and our elective classes include a variety of enrichment opportunities. Greenhouse Christian Co-School serves as a structured launching point for those who want to choose homeschooling for their family and is a supportive community for veteran homeschool families.
Greenhouse comes alongside parents who want to homeschool and still provide the many advantages that a private education offers.
Your child will be placed on one of the four core days.
Admissions Process for Core Program
Our admissions process is designed to make sure that Greenhouse is a good partner for your family, and most importantly, that your child will thrive here.
Attend a Discover Greenhouse Event
Attending a Discover Greenhouse event is one of the most important steps in discerning if Greenhouse is a good fit. Come see the benefits of a Christian Classical co-school education. We recommend both parents attend. (Contact us if you cannot attend.)
Apply Online
Fill out our admission form and submit all required admission documents. You do not need to complete the application in one sitting. Phew! Our application fee is due ONLY when you are ready to submit.
Getting to Know Your Family
New students complete a brief at-home assessment. Parents and student(s) will meet with the Head of Co-School over Zoom. Each prospective student (including from current families) will interview with a faculty member in-person (gr 1-8) or by Zoom (gr 9-12).
Prospective 1st and 2nd grade students will also participate in an in-person classroom exercise, which helps us better understand your child’s academic skills and how they engage in a classroom setting.
Decision-Making and Acceptance
Depending on the admissions pool you are in, you will hear back by the promised date and will have two weeks to make a decision.
Deadlines
Admissions Pool
Your child is placed into a Pool based on when all parts of the admissions process are complete — not when you begin, but when everything is finished.
Because we review students in Pools and space is limited in certain programs, completing the process earlier gives your family the greatest opportunity for placement.
To be included in the any of the pools, the following must be completed:
✓ Application submitted
✓ At-home assessments completed
✓ Family interview by Zoom (New core families only)
✓ Student interview
✓ Classroom exercise (for incoming 1st and 2nd graders only)
We review applications in three Admissions Pools throughout the spring.
Premium Pool Deadline: March 15
Regular Pool Deadline: May 1
Final Pool Deadline: June 15
Enrollment decisions will be communicated two weeks later.
TIP: Because the number of interview slots is limited, we advise submitting your application at least 3 weeks before the pool deadline.
Only interested in electives? You do not need to complete a core program application.
Round out your child’s homeschool education with electives
You can choose from an assortment of electives in addition to or independent of the core program. Because every child has different gifts and interests, we want you to be able to choose from a variety of electives to round out your student's education.
The course catalog for following year is published each March.
